The Timple House-Museum
The Timple House-Museum is a space which combines the functions of a museum, a center for studies and a cultural space. Its main aim is spreading, preserving and studying Canary Island´s traditional culture using the timple, one of the most representative musical instruments in the archipielago, as its central axis.
The museum presents, as its central element, a wide collection of timples and other instruments from different countries that give a dimension of the use made of these small guitars in different points of the planet.
At the same time the visitor could get closer to Teguise´s Folklore, contemplate the stages on the construction of a timple, and enjoy different audiovisual presentations inside a patrimonial environment of great architectural interest.
