The Oldest Theatre in the Province
Municipal theatre
This theatre occupies the site of the old chapel of the Holy Spirit, founded in 1730 and subsequently converted into a hospital and nursery.
In 1825 it was turned into a dramatic arts space, the third to be built in the Canary Islands and currently the oldest of those preserved in the province of Las Palmas. In 1995, the town council of Teguise updated it, respecting the original facades and the low elevation of the property.
