The Town of Teguise celebrates a new edition of Los Finaos, an event dedicated to keeping alive one of the most deeply rooted traditions of the Canary Islands. This event combines storytelling, music, workshops and theatre in a family atmosphere that invites residents and visitors alike to rediscover the meaning of this popular celebration.
Throughout the day, there will be activities designed for all ages: from children's workshops dedicated to quinqués (oil lamps) and traditional instruments, to the eagerly awaited Parranda Canaria and the theatrical performance La Noche de los Finaos (The Night of Los Finaos), by the Actúa7 theatre company. As a grand finale, mantecado (shortbread) will be distributed among the attendees, in a symbolic gesture that unites history and conviviality.
