From 10 to 16 August, Los Ancones will be celebrating its 2026 Fiestas del Risco with a programme designed to bring the community together and enjoy the village’s traditions. Throughout the week, there will be decorations around the village, the opening ceremony of the festivities, competitions in ‘ronda’, ‘chinchón’ and ‘envite’, workshops, children’s activities, family film screenings and events for all ages.
Highlights include the Maritime Pilgrimage through the village streets in honour of Our Lady of Candelaria and St John the Baptist, followed by a donation to the parish Caritas charity, as well as the ‘Juanito y Guillermina’ Folk Festival, a family water workshop, an afternoon of games, a musical gala, a lip-syncing contest, performances by dance groups, the ‘Fiesta de la Gorra’ with the Sintonía Show, a water festival, inflatable mats, a communal lunch, a dessert competition and a lottery. A week to experience Los Ancones through community spirit, music, the sea and a festive atmosphere.
