From 29 July to 5 August, Teguise celebrates the festivities in honour of Our Lady of Las Nieves, a programme that combines tradition, devotion, music and community gatherings. During this period, various festive events will take place, such as tournaments of ‘envite’, ‘truco’ and ‘ronda’, the opening speech, musical performances, a pilgrimage to the Ermita de Las Nieves, a night of parrandas and the traditional hot chocolate with churros for the pilgrims.
The religious programme includes the recitation of the Holy Rosary, the celebration of the Eucharist, the Triduum in honour of Our Lady of the Snows and, on Wednesday 5 August, the main day featuring various celebrations throughout the day, the Solemn Religious Service in honour of Our Lady of the Snows and a subsequent procession accompanied by the Teguise Municipal Band, ‘Teguiband’. An event to experience one of the town’s most heartfelt celebrations, blending faith, tradition and community spirit.
